Training and Placement
DC International, Inc. provides personnel that are assessed prior to employment to determine competency and compatibility, then trained in the federal standards and industry best practices using the most effective and efficient training methods available.
- DCI trains its personnel utilizing Performance-Based Training (hands-on), which is much more effective (retention is 90%) and much more efficient (at the job site) than CBT or conventional classroom training (retention less than 50% and very costly to schedule away from the work place).
- DCI has developed and implemented an HSE Management System that is 100% compliant with all federal standards and industry best practices.
- DCI personnel train to our standard of 100% on regulatory-compliant Policies and Procedures found in our HSE Management System; EVERY employee has an electronic copy of our Policy and Procedure Manual.
- DCI personnel are 100% compliant with all federal regulatory and industry best practice and re-fresher training requirements, and re-trained when regulatory requirements or industry best practices change.
- DCI personnel are given five (5) post-tests in the first 90 days of employment to measure retention and identify areas of needed improvement.
- As necessary, DCI audits outside training organizations to determine the most effective, efficient and compliant training BEFORE scheduling its personnel.
- Applicants for the position of Shore Base, Logistics Coordination and HSE Compliance are given a “pre-test” to determine knowledge relative to their duties and responsibilities.
- Applicants are assigned “competency” levels: Beginner (Level 1), Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3), based on the results of their pre-test.
- A computer skills test is given to all applicants to determine computer proficiency (depends on applicability: Word, Excel, DIMS, DISWIN, RIMBase, etc.).
- We “profile” all applicants to ensure they have good attitudes and good character and personality traits (team players) to favorably support your personnel in the administration of your operations.
- We match DCI personnel to customer expectations to assure quality service.
